Tired of being sick!!!

Hello everybody! I wanted to give you all an update on Korver! I know a lot of you check the blog every week so it's my new year's resolution to update it more often. We've all been quite sick this past weekend. I took Korver into Dr Nye on Friday just to make sure he wasn't starting to get RSV. (We definately don't need any more hospital stays). He doesn't have it which is a relief but he did have an ear infection & a nasty virus:( He's definately not been very happy because he's getting his 2nd tooth on top of it). Wade and I have both had the virus that Korver had and it's definately been hard to kick. Dr Nye our pediatrician said he hasn't seen any RSV cases so far this year which is a relief but I just found out our neighbor's 1 year old has it so it looks like we'll be keeping Korver home from church for a few weeks or so to be safe. He does weigh 12 lbs 8 oz now so he gained almost a pound in 2 weeks. We are so excited! Taylor, Carter, & Skyler are being wonderful big brothers and have helped out a ton this weekend since we were sick. They are good kids and have been through a lot this year. Skyler is so worried about Korver going back to the hospital. Everytime we have a Dr appt he asks me if he's going back to the hospital and starts to panic. He's getting so big. Anyway, not much else going on! Thanks again to everyone for their support:)

More family photos!

Here are some more family photos that Michelle took! They turned out so cute! It's crazy how time flies. We can't believe this year is already over. Although it's been a rough year, it has also been a humbling one. Our trials definately make us stronger people. I was sitting in sacrament a couple of weeks ago and a lady sang the song "Lullaby". I realized how lucky I really was to be holding Korver and the miracle it is that he's ok and doing so well.

As We've reflected over this past year and especially these past 2 weeks, we've realized how blessed we are to have such a wonderful support group of family and friends. There are so many that have helped us out in so many various ways. We feel so blessed that we have people who love and care about our family so much. Your sacrifice doesn't go unnoticed and we love and appreciate you so much! Thank You for your kindness and love.

Wealso wanted to update that we took Korver in the day after Christmas for his RSV shot and he weighs 11 lbs 10 oz! YEAH! He's gaining weight like a normal baby. He's still got to play catch up but at least he's gaining.

We love you all and hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We also want to wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Korver Update

Well it has been almost 4 weeks since Korver had his surgery and he has been doing very well.

The first picture is Korver the day before his surgery and the second is today.....
He looks much better and his scar is healing great. As of last Wed. he had gained 1 full pound which is great and his heart tissue has started to grow around the device.
They took him off one of his medicines and said that he should come off another around the first week of November.
He is much happier since the surgery and has a ton more energy.
Thanks again to everyone for all your prayers and help for our family.

That Dang Global Warming!

Here are a few more photo's from our snow storm yesterday.

Taylor and Mater Cleaning off the trampoline.

After it was all said and done we had 12 1/2 inches on top of my truck. Notice the net on the basketball hoop.
