We were all set to go home on Monday morning when they came in and told us that Korver's heart rate was dropping to very low levels when he slept. They thought this was being caused by his blood pressure medicine so they took him off of it.
Monday afternoon his blood pressure was very high and there had been no change in his heart rate so they put him on a new Blood pressure medicine.
His heart rate continued to fluctuate overnight so they decided to put him on another machine that will monitor his heart rate a little closer for a 24 hour period. Then they will take the information,analyze it, and then decide what to do from there.
It looks like the soonest he will be released will be Thursday.
He is still very happy most of the time but I think he is really looking forward to going home.

POOR BABY... I never knew he had to have heart surgery, until I read Nate & Kourts Blog tonight, We are very happy things went well and we will be praying for a speedy recovery...
Glad things are going well for the family. Bummer that going home didn't happen when planned. Better they found the problem before getting home. Korver is so strong and such a cute little guy! Thanks for this blog to keep us all updated. Here's to chubby cheeks coming soon for Korver. Great job little man!
